Three-State Agreement settlement payments mailed February 20, 2007
As part of Zurich's settlement with the attorneys general of New York, Connecticut and Illinois and the Superintendent of Insurance for the State of New York (the "Three-State Agreement"), a settlement fund was established for Zurich U.S. customers that purchased or renewed excess casualty policies (other than excess workers' compensation) through Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. or Marsh Inc. Eligible policies either incepted or were renewed between January 1, 2000, and September 30, 2004.
On February 20, 2007, payments were mailed to participating eligible policyholders. These policyholders received notices outlining the eligibility criteria and their rights and options under the terms of the settlement agreement. They chose to accept the amount of money each policyholder can receive for all their eligible policies that was calculated according to Zurich's records and approved by the Three-State Agreement regulators.
All inquiries related to this matter must be directed to the Administrator (the independent, third-party organization appointed by the court to handle distribution of settlement funds), who will log and track all contacts. The Administrator will only answer questions from eligible policyholders or their authorized representatives based on an identification / tracking code from our records.
