Zurich North America Commercial enhances its ezumbrella.com commercial umbrella liability Web site
Easier navigation and usability further reduce agent policy administration; users can quote, bind and issue in less than 15 minutes
SCHAUMBURG, Ill., April 16, 2008 – Zurich today announced enhancements to its ezumbrella.com online platform for small to mid-sized monoline commercial umbrella policies (www.ezumbrella.com). Developed in 2002, the site was the first of its kind to offer retail insurance professionals the ability to quote, bind and issue commercial umbrella policies from their desktops. Today, ezumbrella.com continues to lead by offering its users the ability to manage their administrative burden more effectively and deliver online quoting, binding and issuing of policies in less than 15 minutes.
The site is administered through Preferred Concepts, LLC, and serves agents with small and middle market clients operating in specific industry segments including hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, restaurant, retail, service, construction and wholesale industries. There are no initial minimum production requirements and no fees or charges to obtain quotations. Additionally, ezumbrella.com allows registration by retail office rather than by individual producer, further streamlining the process.
Enhanced navigation and display features will reduce agents’ administrative time. New features – including FAQs and “How to’s” – expedite the user’s learning curve. Ultimately, use of the online tool may help agents increase their premium volume and productivity through efficient access to competitively priced coverage.
“Our ezumbrella.com has proven to be an efficient delivery model for placing monoline umbrella coverage for small to mid-sized accounts,” said Robert Shine, executive vice president of Zurich’s Excess Casualty profit center. “Moreover, ezumbrella.com clearly helps agents build business and enhance client service while reducing their own cost of providing coverage.”
All commercial umbrella policies accessed through ezumbrella.com are underwritten by Zurich, using Zurich’s A/B form for coverage. Zurich’s two-part umbrella policy form offers Coverage A (following form of the scheduled underlying policies) and Coverage B (umbrella coverage). The A/B form offers flexibility and may reduce possible coverage gaps.
Stuart A. Farber, president of Preferred Concepts, LLC, adds, “Since ezumbrella.com’s inception, we have been leading the industry in an efficient online process. With the added usability and streamlining of its design, we will continue to be a market leader for quoting, binding and issuing online commercial umbrella policies.”
Three limit options ($5 million, $10 million or $25 million) are available for qualified ezumbrella.com accounts. To access the online application and view the enhancements, visit ezumbrella.com.
